Since the oven will soon be lit we need to move farther north for the summer.
Who wants to setup a shoot in Las vegas.
They have a range available and I have a fellow willing to do the legwork. Might even do some BOTG for us.
Who will grab this low hanging fruit?
I guess I am physically closest to there...
Has this fellow talked to the range yet?
He is in constant contact with them.
He is also working with the local NG company adn teh San Miguel Co. Sheriffs Dept. to get them on board.
You might say that he is a "lapsed" Appleseeder. Went to the states first shoot in Raton, just haven't been able to get him back on board.

Anywho the range is on the old Camp Luna/NM Highlands university and is still in use. Good to 1K if you close teh road.

So far, looks like July could work pretty good. Nothing scheduled in our state for that month. Raton (NRA WC) is another hour and a half away-97 mi. from LV.
We may be having a makeup shoot here in Rio Rancho in July, also I am on vacation most of that month. If someone else wanted to run that shoot in July though...
We ought to be able to handle that, might even have a couple of new SB's by them who knows.

I planned on having NMMI be SBIT at the Del Norte shoot. Maybe he will come along to the Socorro shoot on 6/5-6 and we will get him up to speed.

Well, send one of them up to Socorro if their willing to become an SB! I'll talk to NMMI tonight and see if he is going to SBIT in Socorro. If not we'll get one of them to SBIT! (We have one shooter preregistered so far and I am dragging my Dad along. If NMMI comes along his son will be shooting too and I might be able to get some of Walker's kiddos to come too. I've got flesheatingvirus working on promoting it right now so hopefully we won't have a no-shooter scenario like the last one... I am also preparing a press release to send to the socorro news paper.)
Ahhh! Our meager program in NM is growing! That makes me VERY happy!
Now we just need to find more ranges that are willing to respond to our correspondence. (I think the range in Gallup is a dry hole. I'm looking for BLM land or private land to hold a shoot out there now...)
5-6 June not looking good for me. DOI Appraisal Services (my outfit) is having a reorganization meeting in Las Vegas (the other one) from 7-9 June. 6 June is travel day.
Will know more later this week but that's how it's looking...just found out yesterday.

I haven't heard anything back from the fellow up there so we haven't made any progress on a shoot there yet.
Sam, if you can get a hold of him and he thinks we will have at least 10 people I'll do a short notice shoot. I'd like to get one up there ASAP...
