Post by: Greg in MO on February 26, 2010, 10:45:03 AM
The next Muster Night is March 16, from 7pm - 10:30pm.

National announcement thread is here:

http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=12065.msg99480;topicseen#msg99480 (http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=12065.msg99480;topicseen#msg99480)

Now that we have the MO schedule mostly laid out, this will be your chance to plan for the year and get signed up for shoots.  We will also be discussing new locations and opportunities for promotions.

Hope to see you there!

Trying to run a shoot at Leavenworth is worth discussing, however, let me caution you that it is NOT easy, and will require a ton of effort, not to mention the vacation to actually conduct the shoot.

Ok instructors.  Who is going to Osage this weekend (Scott?)?

Also, at the moment only Ben and I are signed up for Bates City.

I hear you. Let's talk this weekend and you can give us feedback on the issues.  Might be a worthy 2011 goal since most I know are headed to the RBC.

MB and I will be at Osage as well.  I've got to work April 3rd, so I'm out for that part of the Bates shoot.

Howdy Thursday...  Will we be seeing you on the line soon?

As for Weatherby...  I think Gromit is going to help you an Ben out.  For the most part I think all of the MO instructor contingent will be turned out somewhere in the state.

I was hoping to go, but it seems like that won't be the case this time.  :(

As for April 19th, I heard I was needed at Washburn so I figure that's where I'll be.

Yes.  He will be moving to St. Joe in a couple weeks.  At the moment he is flying back to Phoenix after a house-hunting trip.  So Scott has a new traveling companion.

Excellent!!  Hey look, it must be Appleseed season, it predicted to rain on Saturday! **)

Saturday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a high near 52.
Saturday Night: A chance of rain and snow. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46.

Question -- when i send a post  the systems sends me back to 'home' and i have to 'run the course' to get back to the MO Board 'chat' window.  Am i doing something wrong?  There must be a way to do this that keeps one ON THE BOARD without having to run the gauntlet to get back to the group.

Hey Kori,

Lots going on here.  I have been working with a firearms group out of Springfield.  Great guys. Matt Canovi ( some of you likely know of him).  He came and did a HOW NOT TO BE A VICTIM presentation to a group of girlfriends here in Humansville. . . we are (12-14 of us) going to take a practical handgun training class in April.  I am working on them to also get involved in Appleseed and bring thier sons, hubby etc.  Some have rifles and some don't .  I bought a 'loaner' 10/22 (KR is working it over with tech sites , sling mount etc) -- so that is ONE person that won't have an 'excuse' to miss the shoot  ~~:)

Yes, we have made some progress on the STL side of the state.  Greybeard has indicated that he has received a request for a shoot at Benchrest Gun Club in STL.  If he was here, I'm sure he would let us know about it.  It isn't on the schedule yet however.

You don't have to be a Red Hat to go. Even if you don't go as an instructor, I'm sure Dinky would love to have you as a shooter.

And I would love to go...but don't think I could go out of state due to child care. Next year my boys will be old enough that they won't be such a hassle ;)

Kori I could try to get there but I'm not sure, depends on how far of a drive it is. The sitter I have probably wouldn't mind but I would most likely have to take a day off work, but hey, my boss probably won't mind either! :)

Mike D is supposed to have a range data sheet to give me this weekend and pass on to Chris.

The fella I was supposed to meet mother is dying...We didn't meet yet.  I've seen pictures, the place looks great and this guy and his wife are really excited about this.  250 acres, 60 lanes, parking and camping.  It's called Bullseye Gun Club and is about an hour SW of St. Louis.
