Hello, checking in from Benton. Hoping there are more shoots down this way this year. My son loved it last year and he has been practicing!
The best thing from the shoot last year in Carmi was not his marksmanship, but when we were shooting on our home range my wife came out to take a pictures of us and she stood slightly in front of the "red line" and my son stopped shooting, made his rifle safe and then lectured his mom on safety!
I was so proud at that point!
Thanks to Mudcat and the team from Carmi for all their work with the kids that day. I made an impression that stuck!

I seen a GSG5 on the line last year and when I first saw it, I'll admit I thought the feller was going to have nothing but problems with it. I never saw a single miss fire or jam all weekend, BUT the short sight radious will give you one heck of a work out on the road to Rifleman. Is it mechanicaly accurate and reliable enough to do it? YES, will it be easy? NO
If that is what you have, bring it! Don't wait for the perfect Storm to go, just go. O0

If you drive down I 39, I could meet you in El Paso at Rt 24 and I 39. About what time do you think you'd be driving through? If you could call me an hour before you think you'd get to that point I could easily be there.
If you drive through Bloomington on I55, I could be there also and could meet you at Rt. 9 and I55.
The big question is about what time of the day would you be rolling through? CM will also be in Bloomington, heading down I55 to Tenn. and could meet up w/you depending on the timing.
