Title: Westminster, CO IBC Dec. 12-13
Post by: TaosGlock on November 29, 2009, 02:51:24 PM
We are getting down to the wire. BlueFeather and I need 6 IIT's to put this on and we are ready to go. Problem is there are only 3 of you signed up. :-[

If you have already signed up, then use this thread to check in and let us know who you are!

You guys have expanded your state tremendously (especially Gunnison and Ramah) with the AS Project  O0  :~ O0 and have only begun to tap in to the well of your states sleeping Riflemen. :~

Example: The line from, (and including these towns) Durango to Grand Junction to Craig with Montrose, Leadville, etc in between are just waiting for someone to get a shoot there. All are on the western slope, traditionally a more gun friendly, so to speak, area of the state. Some of these towns have 9 months of winter with 3 months of bad sledding. >:D
But as appleseeders we can work around that right? ^-^

An example using Leadville:
Can you imagine a flyer announcing The Nation's Highest Elevation (and most scenic) Appleseed Shoot?
Rounded evenly up, Leadville is 10,200'  :)

pssst..The Leadville Rod and Gun Club sponsors many shooting events and non-shooting events like the annual Leadville Boom Days old west history and mining days, so schedule the shoot before or after that and not over the 4th of July. The LRGC shooting schedule fills fast so hurry.
The view near the LRGC shows the highest peak in CO, Mt. Elbert @ 14,431':

I will make it easy for you:
Leadville - Leadville Rod & Gun Club, Inc., 100 Gun Club Rd. CR 6, Leadville, CO 80461.
Phone: 719-486-2848
Facilities include: Outdoor Pistol (50 yds), Outdoor Rifle (100-300yds), Rifle Silhouette, Muzzleloading, Trap
Range Access: Public

I have lived and worked in CO most of my life before I moved to NM and I know the state is ready for the AS message.

But I digress, time is short and we have a country to save, one city, one state and one Rifleman at a time.

The IBC's are a way to fast track you up the ladder so you can be doing your own shoots (quicker)...and that is very rewarding.
So CO IIT's, sign up now!

We are looking forward to meeting and working with you CO Appleseeders!

I signed up yesturday.?.? Anyway I'll be driving down from Gunnison. Trying to get a couple of new recruits to come but not sure if they are going to be able to make it. I'll try to lean on them a little more. But either way I will be there.

We do not yet have an official list of attendees nor any contact information for those planning on coming to this weekend's IBC at Westminster, so to get you all on track, we have uploaded the POI for the Boot Camp and some general framing info for history here:  http://public.me.com/gcfryer

Please start reading Paul Revere's Ride by Fischer, or anything else from that time period that you can get your hands on.  We will bring examples of great sources of information.

Finally, while you will not actually be submitting PCs, please print them all and make an attempt to answer what you can.  We will be discussing these at the Boot Camp.

Thankfully, the weather is clearing, so it looks like we can get there in one piece!  So see you all on Saturday morning, all bright tailed and bushy eyed.
