From an email sent to me:
RL, Please pass on my thanks and a 'well done!' to everyone (you included) at the shoot today! I'm sore, and am paying for playing in the heat, but I'd do it over [later] in a NY minute!! The history presentations by you and everyone were only topped by the help given by the whole crew.
In other matters, I think I left my packet on the end bench, if I did could you mail it to me? Also I'd like a copy of the picture of the two of us at the end this AM.
You & the instructors have given me an insight on how to get the 'disabled' guys back on the range; the training and professionalism of the staff will go a long way in getting things started.
Rest up, and sorry about the early departure and missing tomorrows presentations.
Keep your powder dry,
Tom :)
Tom--it was good to meet you at this Appleseed, still giving it your best shot as always!
The complete set of photographs taken by me*** are posted (and freely available for download) here (http://picasaweb.google.com/Western.Nevada.Pistol.League/AppleseedRenoNevadaSeptember2009?feat=directlink).
Alternatively, you can view them as a slide show here (http://picasaweb.google.com/Western.Nevada.Pistol.League/AppleseedRenoNevadaSeptember2009#slideshow/).
***There was also a professional photographer there who was taking pictures, and shooting his rifle. He is going to write a magazine article about Appleseed! I know him and I will post a link to his pictures when they're available.
A few great moments.
Thank you Shooters and Instructors. Nevada and California have a very squared away Instructor corps and very dedicated Shooters. It is no wonder that the programs are growing out there like they are. Nevada Smith, arashi and Jet Set had everything ready to go for this weekend. It is great as a Shoot Boss to show up and have everything done for you. Nevada Smith and Jet Set, great job on your PCs. Jerry, thank you for taking up the Orange Hat.
this is jerry, now known as "DRUID" great great shoot, the instruction was top notch and the group was full of really good people! thanks for an awesome experience. there really was no way i could have refused to take upan orange hat after seeing just how squared away you all were.
I really enjoyed the shoot and just wished we had more time.
