Wow! Great bunch of people! I'm sure they have sunshine there sometime, but there wasn't much this weekend. Just a little rain, maybe, 4 inches **)
Thanks to Bubba, Sarah and family for hosting us. They went out of their way to make everyone feel at home at their home. O0
Lots of ladies on the line and not a complainer among them. When asked if they wanted to shoot another target, they would answer in unison, with rain dripping off their chins, "Let's go!!". :~ :~
One new Riflemen. Way to go Ben! Three new Riflewomen! Anna, Sarah and Amber. The girls really put on a show!
Congratulations to the all woman "Apple Cobbler" team that won the Capt. Parker's Revenge shoot. Yes guys, they had one extra hole in their target >:D, but they beat you by 30 or so points, so I wouldn't say too much about it.
Can't wait to come back in October.
Despite the gross sloppy weather, it was a great time! I never heard anyone complain either. I'm very proud of our 3 shooters in the center of the line who were using tech sights... you guys did great! I'm also proud of our "13" year old lady on the far Right side of the line... you are reall a trooper. The improvement from everyone was extremely evident. Now... it's time for some dry fire practice at home!!! And "dry" is the key word... in more ways than one!
To Bubba and Sarah... thank you so much for being willing to spend the time and effort to host an event. It makes a difference!
I have not been apart of the Captain Parker's revenge exercise, but that was FUN! ;D
It was an honor to be there with such fine people.

Thanks for the quality instruction, guys (and gal!). I'll see y'all again in the Spring. In the meantime, I've got a lot to work on.
As for dry-firing, someone mentioned scaled-down AQT targets you can use to dry fire at 25 feet in your house. They said they were available on the forum, but none of my searches turned up anything. If anyone could point me to them, I'd be grateful.
Thanks again!
Casey
Ransom,
Here is one for 50 ft. Use a copy machine and reduce it for dryfire.

By all means dryfire!
I'm sure there are others around, but I couldn't find them either.
There is nothing wrong with a 1 inch square reduced to match the proper distance for dryfire either.
It was a pleasure to have you and your family there.

Thanks Big Papa, but when I follow your link, I receive this message:

Sorry about that Casey... I've attached some targets for you.
Remember that with your knowledge of Inches, Minutes, and Clicks that you can effectively take a measuring tape, measure off your dry fire distance and then create a target with an ink pen and a ruler that matches about 4 minutes of angle. (It's hard to be exact when it gets so small, but you can make a good guess.) I used a computer with the ruler function to help me measure more precisely.
Your form is good, work on holding back that trigger, following through, call the shot and resetting the sear (you'd need a helper to work the bolt for you while dry firing). Work on it in stages... try 10 shots in a row that you can call as "in the black". Then stop for the night. Next, try 15 or 20. If you call the shot consistently off target on one side or another, use your handouts to figure out what you are doing.
You are apart of a good crew at that event. It was loads of fun! Did you get that rifle dry? LOL

Before it rusted too bad... ;-)
Thanks again.

This was my 2nd AS as a IIT. Loved every minute of it, well maybe not the weather. Thanks for our gracious hosts, Sarah & Bubba & family, for
letting us have a AS there. My hat is off to the Andersons, they were a pleasure to work with. I was so impressed with the enthusiasm of all
the shooters, not one complaint about the weather, even though everyone was laying in the water. Everyone improved tremendously. Looking
forward to going back. Keep up the hard work shooters. Lineman
I want to thank everyone for this event. Chase and I had so much fun and spent some great father son time both at the range and after.
Bubba and Sarah, thank you so much. My hat is off to you and can't thank you enough. @)
To every single instructor, you did a phenomenal job. O0
I learned so very much. Namely, I have a long way to go. ;)
Too bad I was ill this weekend, I would have got more out of it. But had fun! Chase had a blast and thanked me all the way home. I even got a hug.
We'll be back again and will try to follow all the steps we learned - thanks for the papers you gave at the start.
To everyone else, it was a pleasure meeting you. And hope to see you again.
PS, I have already started recruiting more people and spreading the gospel. I've got one adult and two more boys coming. Pray I can talk my wife into coming next >:D
Thanks again,
Kip and Chase
