Title: A website resource for photos and stories
Post by: V on August 02, 2009, 06:06:24 PM
I came across this website Historical Markers Data Base (http://www.hmdb.org/)

Type names of people, places you are interested in the step through the results. There are photographs, stories, maps, etc.

Warning: You can spend a lot of time wandering along Battle Road with this site, looking at the photos of the buildings and places, using the interactive google maps to get a feel for the relationships of all the places you've heard about.

Some are quite sad. This (http://www.hmdb.org/Marker.asp?Marker=18064) one give a new meaning to letting our history wither away.

Thanks V!
As I learn all the history and the three strikes, this will help me visualize and put things into perspective!
