We had an excellent group of Americans on the range with us at Lapeer County Sportsmans Club (https://www.lapeersportsmens.org/) last weekend. Seven out of our fifteen participants were attending Project Appleseed for the first time, and it was an honor engaging with all of them.
Congratulations to our newest Riflemen: Ricky, and Nathen Both were new to the Appleseed program and took to the instruction exceptionally well. I hope to see you back out on the line.
Congratulations also to our returning Riflemen Henry, Matt, Moo, and Adlai.
Adlai, thank you for 7th stepping and bringing Ricky. It was great having both of you two on the line and we hope to see you again soon. Maybe come back in January for Winterseed (https://appleseedinfo.org/citizen/?registerlink=https://goappleseednow.org/?event=lapeer-mi-appleseed-january-23-24-2027)?
Matthew, good job on re-qualifying. You are knocking on the door for a distinguished patch, and I'm sure you will earn it soon.
Henry, I would also like to congratulate you on re-qualifying, WITH A BOLT ACTION! HUZZAH!
Id like to give special thanks to Moo, who demonstrated the first AQT while the rest of the line observed. Your technique was textbook and the added pressure had no ill effect on your target. It is always a pleasure having you on the line.
Bill and Dave Hill came out for their first Appleseed and it was great having both of you. To Bill, I'm glad you overcame the issue with the prone position, and continued the weekend using the seated position! Dave, thanks for coming out and bringing Bill. I'm sure ill see you on the line soon, and I look forward to presenting you with an Orange Hat.
I'd also like to acknowledge our five youth shooters - Jacob, Helena, Agnes, Henry, and Emmaline. It was a pleasure having you on the range with us for the weekend - we were all impressed by your attentiveness and your commitment to safety. Each of you earned those William Diamond patches, and I hope Rifleman patches are in your near future. Although the road may seem long to you, it's well worth the journey - a Rifleman Persists!
Thank you very much to everyone who stuck around to help us tear down, clean up, and reassemble the range for LCSC. Many hands made light work, and we really appreciate you chipping in like that.
Last but not least, thank you to our incredible team of instructors – Pocket Watch, Mr. Zeke, Pookie, and T Wolf. – Thank you for all of your help and support. It is always great to work with you.
