What a beautiful weekend we had. We also were graced with fifteen very interested and eager shooters. We opened the day with history of course (after administration briefings). M-Dawg did a great job with the first strike, it was well-received, and we went right into instruction and shooting.
The weekend of shooting went very smoothly. We awarded four Rifleman patches--congratulations Carter, Mike, Austen, and Jared! Huzzah!! The "hits count" targets took beatings as well! The shooters were clearing targets by Saturday afternoon, and it continued through Sunday. The biggest improvement we saw were on the 100yd targets. Ten of those were cleared Saturday morning, and by Sunday, everyone had all three shots in the red! :beer: We completed seven AQTs over the course of the weekend with improvement all around.
This was a relatively "new" range. We were last there in the 2015 timeframe, but we lost the shoot boss in the area. The range is fantastic, and it has the potential to be our Missouri KD range! I'l be working on that!
Again, thank you to all the shooters and instructors, and an especially big thank you to the Big Piney Sportsman's Club. The range kitty was a nice touch, too ;).
