Mountain Valley Sportsman's Association allowed to use their 400 yard range for an instructor Known Distance shoot last weekend. It was a great time to share some time together and sharpen those full distance skills. Thank you MVSA!
The range has seen some major upgrades since out last event and there are now permanent mounts for our KD target backers (thanks to BuddyLove and MotoMan) as well as a covered concrete firing line for 200, 300 and 400 yards. Add in the great weather and it was a perfect weekend.
Our newest orange hat was out for her first KD and shot well, including getting the shingle on Sunday. Although he no stranger to full distance shooting, Motoman was also attending his first KD as an Appleseeder. On Sunday morning, we had 6 shooters take position to shoot the cold bore single shot . . . and every shooter did it! Daniel Morgan would have been proud! I've never seen a 100% success on the shingle. Five requals and 7 shingle shots (1 on Saturday) made for a fun weekend of shooting with the Arkansas Appleseed cadre.
Below is a picture of those hitting the shingle. Click to see fullsize and click again to shrink back. Please add your photos and comments.

What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed, if so celestial an article as Freedom should not be highly rated. - Thomas Paine
