Title: Beaver Falls, PA AAR – Oct 17-18, 2026 – Pistolseed
Post by: Yates on October 19, 2026, 10:07:36 AM
Special thanks to the Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club for hosting us this past weekend.  They were very helpful in all aspects of getting ready for our Pistolseed.  And we are headed back there again next year for both rifle and pistol events.

We all had a great weekend of marksmanship and heritage.  The shooters all persevered through the cooler weather and we saw significant improvement as the weekend progressed.  We worked through the day proceeding from demonstration to practice to live fire confirmation of our marksmanship instruction, combined with history and heritage.  Everyone was very receptive to the course of instruction and history/heritage.

Everyone returned on Sunday, and we worked through more instruction and PQT's. All showed consistent improvement as the day progressed. All shooters demonstrated great groups by applying the fundamentals they had just learned. Huzzah!

The shooters showed those pesky Redcoats the strength of our cause on both the PQT and Hits Count Targets; with five of the shooters qualifying as Pistoleers.  And two earned our PA 1st Riflemen patch for clearing the Hits Count target at least once, and Chip did it all four times, earning the Sons of Liberty patch.  HUZZAH!

Thanks to all the shooters, instructors and the Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club for a great weekend.

I would like to include a special shout out to the excellent cadre of instructors at this event, Mike, Bruce, Tom Anita, and especially Henry who lent his pistol to my son in-law on Sunday, which enabled him to earn his pistoleer patch. I look forward to my next pistolseed, where I can apply what was taught, and I too can become a pistoleer. Thank you guys so much.
