In New England, some of the most pleasant weekends of the year for rifle shooting are found in October, and this past weekend was no exception. Fifteen of our fellow Americans gathered at the Alder Brook Sportsmen's Association to learn about rifle marksmanship and about one day of American heritage where marksmanship made a difference. We did almost everything at 25m, with a brief detour to 100 yards at the end of the weekend. From the very first AQT, some Riflemen revealed themselves, and more trickled in on Sunday; congratulations to Sung, GaYee, Ben, John S, John L, Jason, and Arwyn! Whether or not you were among them, remember, A Rifleman Persists - whether it's just the Rifleman patch you're after, or the Distinguished Rifle Score or Known Distance Rifleman tabs that you can go on to achieve next. Congratulations also to John S, John L and GaYee for their victory at the Parker's Revenge competition! Thank you to the Alder Brook Sportsmen's Association for hosting another great Appleseed shoot; thank you to my fellow volunteers MattNH and HamGun for helping this shoot run smoothly; and thank you to Sung for joining the program as an instructor in training!IP: I only await a filled-out copy of PC0.
