Earlier this year I decided to try and AQT with my Savage 93R in .17HRM. I shot a 234 on the first try and I was amazed at how much fun it was. Since then I have tried with 2 different center fire rifles. A Ruger ranch in .223 (Takes AR mags) and a bergara B-14 in 6.5CM (AICS mags). However, I could not break 200 with either. The Ruger was very difficult to shoot because of how rough the bolt is. The bergara was better, but at .90 a rnd I kind of wanna go back to .223 for now.
Anyway, what center fire bolt actions do you guys like and or recommend I try next. Thanks.
Ruger gen 1 scout (gunsite) in 308. Right handed rifle shoot left handed, with a forward mounted scope, reach over the top with the left hand to run the bolt. A blast.

The only one I've tried with- suppressed Savage Mk II in 22LR at RFKD. Line boss called cease fire (early) while I was still shooting stage 4 because he couldn't hear it going off from ~50ft away.
I have two CZ 455s (22LR) with iron sights that are a fun AQT challenge.
I have qualified multiple times with a 455 Scout with a rear Tech Sight. Hard though and reflected in my scores.
And qualified 200 yard RKD (and Morgan's Shingle several times) with a 455 Military Trainer with stock sights.
Have also qualified multiple times with a Savage MK II with a scope. That is less of a challenge.
Haven't tried with a bolt action Centerfire yet.
For rimfire I have an Anschutz Achiever with Walther sights. Have qualified many times with this rifle in 25m and 200 yd KD AQTs.
For centerfire I like my Bergara HMR in .308. This was the rifle I used at my first KD in Talkeetna, AK.
Both are magazine fed, operate very smoothly and are as accurate as you can hold them.
