We had another great weekend at the Piqua Fish and Game. The weather cooperated and we had ten enthusiastic shooters on the line to experience our recently updated Pistolseed. Instruction went very smoothly; this was a back to back pistol event for the instructors (we had a Pistolseed at the Sidney, Ohio range with basically the same crew the previous weekend) so they were really into the rhythm of presenting the updated material.
The opening redcoat showed there was room for improvement so we jumped right into the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship. Individual work with grip, stance, sights and trigger, as well as many repetitions of presenting from center line index really prepared the students for live fire later in the day.
We had two re-qualified Pistoleers, congratulations to Mike R. with a 211 and Jeff M. scoring a 223 and a 219. Jeff J. cleared Saturday evening's Hits Count target as well as Sunday morning's target.
We had several shooters who were close to the elusive 210 Pistoleer score but just couldn't quite get over the hump. With a little more dry fire practice I'm sure they'll shoot the score at their next Pistolseed.
Thanks go the the awesome instructor crew of Doc Willi, Skald, Hemi286, Messer454, Sheepdog 180, Hail Storm, Alpha Mom and Buzzard.
