The Year of the Wind! (Chinese Calendar??)
The Laramie Rifleman's Boot Camp (RBC) was the highlight of the four events taking place this June at the Laramie Rifle Range (LRR). For the entire 10 day stretch, we ended up having 40-ish participants from 11 states (AK, AR, MT, OK, TX, MI, NE, CO, NM, MN. WY – yes Alaska!); many took part in multiple events. None of this would have been possible without the continuing support of the Laramie Rifle Range, which has hosted this massive event for the last four years (and other Appleseed events for many years before that!). We are also indebted to the efforts of the local Appleseeders who made sure the event was properly setup and coordinated – thanks to Regular Guy and ALF!
The Wind. Wyoming certainly lived up to it's windy reputation for this event! The local forecast said "breezy" . . . and it blew every day. The weather meter showed the winds most days at 20 mph or higher and strongest gusts were over 50! Wind, grit and dust got into everything. Shooting from the standing position was particularly challenging. As the saying goes "A Rifleman Persists" and that's what we did.

It was a great event and thank you to everyone that came out also a big thank you to Laramie rifle range for hosting this great event.
It was great working with excellent instructors and phenomenal students and even though the weather definitely made things challenging at times everyone kept in good spirits.
