Having attended quite a few events, it crossed my mind to try other locations and see the differences in the instructors and students. As such I would like to plan to attend an event in Alaska, but have no idea when is a good idea to visit. Along with at which location would be the most accommodatable to an airport/town for an out of town traveler.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Alaska is most hospitable from about May to September (usually), and our Cadre is pretty active starting in April of every year. For distance from airport, you're probably looking at one of our Chugiak events, depending on how far you feel like driving. The airport is about 30-40 mins drive from the closest hotel to the range, and that hotel is about a 20min drive from the Chugiak range.
We're a big enough state that we don't plan trips by miles, we plan by drive time.

Having driven 2 hours to and from this past weekend's event (twice, Saturday and Sunday). a 30-40 minute excursion will be a short trip .... though the 6+ hour flight will be a journey. Granted I did drive 6-ish hours earlier this year to get to a different out of state event.
Looking forward to attending a 2027 event in Alaska.

That being said, if you'd like to plan a longer trip with camping (at whatever level you like), the Talkeetna range is very beautiful and three miles from a very nice campground. It's ~ a two hour drive from Anchorage. We do our annual Known Distance event there (the range, not the campground 😜).
