This was a wonderful event at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center. We appreciate them hosting us.
11 students all ready and willing to learn.
We did our first event shooting in relays. It went smoothly.
This group of students were absorbing everything we taught them.
Sunday was super windy. Much more than the 15 mph that was predicted. We had to add extra weight to the target backers so they would not blow over!
Despite the wind, everyone did amazingly well.
Jeremy posted the first Pistoleerâ„¢ score at his first Appleseed event ever! 220, then followed up with a 215
Victor posted a nice 216 on the same round as Jeremy.
A couple of PQT's later, John posted at 210 and yes was awarded the waters of the North Bridge. John promptly posted a 225 & another 210 proving the first score was not just luck.
Everyone in the group showed great improvement and a willingness to learn.
Thank you all for coming out and I hope to see you again soon.
Thank you to everyone for helping with set up and tear down. Many hands make light work.
Thank you to my instructors for making my job easy!

I really enjoyed the weekend. Everyone practiced great safety and were obviously motivated to improve. Between the lightning and rain a month ago and this crazy wind. According to the 'net, the sustained wind speeds generally ranged from 15 to 25 mph, with gusts peaking between 35 and 45 mph. The corollary to Fred's simple wind rule is that if you're having fun, what difference does the wind make?
Thanks NorCal22Gal for telling the story of the meeting house fire. Always love that story, because that story demonstrates a rare kind of boldness.
Awesome! Sounds like a great event! O0
Great event. Thanks for all the volunteers hard work! After attending a shoot in Red Bluff last year my goal was to achieve Pistoleerâ„¢ on my next event which thankfully happened. Don't know about the "distinguished" achievement till this shoot, so thats the next goal. See ya'll in the fall for the next one!
