Patriots Day weekend, on April 19th? Sounds perfect.
On Saturday, it more or less was - cool and clear, and our line of shooters was able to progress rapidly through the fundamentals, overcoming a few mechanical challenges to post up a very respectable set of scores on the first AQT, including one Rifleman! Huzzah.
Sunday, however, New England reasserted it's challenging nature. A few of our shooters were kept back by family obligations, but those that returned faced temps just above freezing and drizzle, some of the most exhausting conditions possible. They persisted, however, and we turned a full 50% of Sunday's line into Rifleman before the weather and ever more challenging mechanical failures (a broken firing pin for example) pushed us to curtail the course of fire, tell the story, and call it a day early.
