It's that time of year, grab your M1 and put those Appleseed skills to use!
Any NC Riflemen planning on attending the Eastern Games?
Absolutely, I'm shooting the 1,000 yard match (for the first time) and the 2400 aggregate (3 days-80 rounds each day) across the course at 200, 300 and 600. May 6-9
You can stay on base in the air conditioned Quonset huts (Bays) for $5 a night and walk to the range.
The other really cool thing is that these matches are all on electronic targets. So, no pit duties and you look at a monitor at your firing point and see your hits immediately.
The Games matches are shot at 200 with the wood guns (M1 Garands, M1A etc.) so your 25 yard zero also is your approximate 200 yard zero...BZ Thanks UPACreek!
I'm shooting 2 Garand matches Saturday morning and the Rimfire Sporter in the afternoon. Booked my luxury accommodations on post, can't beat 5 bucks a night! I haven't shot an Appleseed or instructed in several years but still look for Riflemen patches on the line.

So you want to come back for old times sake and shoot soon!?
