APC AAR Apr 11-12 2026
It was a glorious weekend at Central Florida Rifle & Pistol Club in Orlando, FL. Eight eager shooters gathered to learn and improve their pistol handlings skills. By the end of the weekend we saw two shooters requalify and one new Pistoleer™™. Everyone else showed marked improvement in their accuracy and speed.
Nicole cleared the Hits Count target Sunday morning. HUZZA! Geo requalified with a 234 on Saturday and John requalified at 214 after changing up to a pistol that fit him better. Nick was smiling ear to ear with his 232 best of the day score on Sunday to earn his Pistoleer™™ patch. Bob broke 200 several times. Yamil improved from 92 to 180 at his first outing. Another new shooter, Joe, was fighting light primer strikes and jams all weekend. We tried everything we could think of to improve his situation. Despite the challenges he persisted and turned in a high score of 166.
Saturday, we heard the story of Prince Estabrook in addition to our customary history lessons.
Sunday, we honored the fallen of April 19, 1775 with the reading of names and firing of a thirteen-round volley. It was a fitting way to remember the sacrifices of our founding generation.
Sieggie attained Centurion status at this event. malabar presented Dave with his gold 100 pin.
Thanks to the students who made this all worthwhile and to the staff, malabar, Sieggie, Trident and Miker98, that ensured a safe and supporting environment.
We greatly appreciate the hospitality of the CFRPC who generously allow us to conduct our pistol and rifle clinics on their fine ranges.
