A raw, brisk New England weekend greeted four students at Mansfield Fish & Game Club on Saturdayv the 21st of March. Unfazed, they learned and practiced some pistol marksmanship (one lecture+drill pair at a time), and learned the one day in history that best explains why we can do this. On Sunday we started with lots of dryfire, review and history, then took an early lunch and began live fire just minutes after the club's noon Sunday start-time. Some rain visited later in the afternoon, but we'd figured out a way to place the targets at a safe height to shoot from under the range's covered firing line, so it didn't bother us.
Among our students one Pistoleer™™ was revealed - congratulations to Armen, who shot a 225 with a borrowed 9mm and then a 210 on his own .22!

One of the other students also decided to join the Applecore program; thank you Dan for picking up a bucket! (Forum account TBD)

The instructors did a terrific job - thank you to MattNH, Lesky, Rifle Rabbit, BrianMac and TomW. This was TomW's first shoot worked, may it be the first of many.
Thanks to Mansfield Fish & Game Club for their hospitality - this year marks ten years of partnership between this club and Project Appleseed.
