Title: The "new and improved" 10/22 model 32002
Post by: LDB415 on December 31, 2025, 12:53:26 PM
My best half, who is that and then some, informed me the still awaited surprise present on its way is a new 32002. The ETA is somewhere around throw a dart at the calendar I guess as I don't know if they are even made yet or shipping. Anyway, I'll have my better trigger and the swivel mounts already built in.

I think I'm going with the Tech-Sights TSR-100. If I'm not confused (a frequent happening) those most closely match the sights on my just inherited M1 carbine so using those will most assist me in learning to shoot and eventually better shoot my dad's rifle. Another goal. So YAY! for best halfs, especially mine! :)

Nice!

Now, summon your best cuddling skills, and see if you can sweet talk some ammo in as a bow to top that pretty thing. Say, enough to warm up for your first 25m clinic, get you through the clinic, consolidate the lessons you learn after the clinic, and still have 1K left over for when you're ready to do it all again.

I have no relation to the company below- just saw they have free shipping.  ;)

I've got a 5xx round box of Aguila Super Extra I plan to use. I think it's slightly above general bulk ammo and since I'll be new and hopeless probably more than good enough for a first outing to just learn what's going on. And for the next time when I've hopefully learned and practiced a fair bit I've got either a 500 of CCI Mini-Mag, CCI Velocitor or Norma TAC-22 to choose from, at least one of which is maybe a step up. Beyond that who knows what may materialize. :)

As far as I know, Aguila has a good reputation. Try some out before you go, just to make sure it's reliable in your rifle. It's frustrating to have ammo that lets you down during an AQT.

I'm betting you'll really enjoy that first Appleseed. Listen and apply the things you learn, and you're sure to come away a better shooter than you were going in.

Yes, I hope it really is in stock like they said and arrives soon so I can get a few times to shoot it ahead of the Appleseed. I'll try a few magazines of the Aguila. I've heard positives about it also which is why I bought it. We'll see.
