Anyone have experience/thoughts/comments on this scope? I know it isn't a Leupold or similar but it's ready to mount and the parallax can be dialed back to 25 yards not frozen at 100 yards. And it's definitely reasonable. And I'm sure for a reason. Anyway, any/all advice on this or an alternate starter for the first few months/year scope appreciated.

I had a similar model on my 10/22 for several years. My only complaint was the lack of hash marks on the reticle. I replaced the scope becasue I felt the Vortex package in the Appleseed store was slightly more suited to the 200 yd RKD COF. However, after shooting & instructing the 200 yd RKD, I have no doubt the BSA scope is sufficient for the COF.

I do like the image of the reticle on the Crossfire scope in the Appleseed store, even if I don't know exactly what all that is or how to use it. But I don't see 7x being enough at 200 yards, for me anyway. Almost not at 100 yards. And there's the $250 vs. $85 also. But it's something to look into.
I had a BSA pistol scope on my 30 Herrett barrel for about 5 shots before it crapped itself and the glass dislodged.
I didn't even have a hot load in it.
Hard nope.
Dont waste your money, PSA usually has a decent vortex marked down for any reason they can find, Amazon always has a good price on a sig buckmaster. either one would be a step above anything that say BSA on it.

I like that Vortex except the 100 yard fixed parallax. I'll pretty much be only at 25 for Appleseed and informal forum matches I want to try on RFC.
