We will have a Range work weekend in March the 7-8 to prepare for April 19th and later events at the Home Range. The last work weekend was very productive, let's keep that momentum going! I will have lunch Saturday and Sunday for everyone and plenty of things to drink. I'm starting a list of to do items and will add to it as we get closer to the event. Thank You to all that help out at the range, the range is looking great!
To Do List:
remove metal objects from berms
clean up camping areas and restore fire pits
Paint pistol range hut If there's not a Appleseed being held
run power to pistol range hut
clean club house
install some parking area lights
grip on club house steps
Planning on coming down Friday evening, can I bring anything? Rakes, shovels, poleslaw, chainsaw, etc? Basic electrical tools, meter, etc.
Will bring gloves for sure.
Unless Steve gets back to you and tells you otherwise, I'd bet that chainsaws and polesaws would be well utilized, probably garden rakes, maybe shovels. He talked about painting too and I'm sure there are other things. Gloves should just always be in your car. Steve's an electrician (or at least plays one really, really well). If you've got basic electrical tools, they probably wouldn't hurt either.
THANK YOU for helping! :1luvu
Any tools that would be useful in cutting down trees, and cleaning the camping areas will help. The range only has a few tools available. We usually have a lot of debris down after the winter storms. Thanks

Many thanks to the folks that helped with the range work weekend. We got several items knocked off the list plus a good start on other tasks that were needed. The camping area looks great, the trim on the club house is ready for paint and a lot of painting was done on range 2 the 25yard line. We are planning another work weekend maybe in June. The contractor hopes to pour concrete next week on the firing line extension on range 2 and the pistol range. Thank You to all that helped this weekend and God Bless You!
Here's the pistol Range. I apologize to Doni and Jim I didn't take a photo of you working hard, but thank You for all the painting you did.
Holy smokes! That pistol range looks beautiful! What a difference a couple of weeks and a LOT of hard work makes. Thank you all for your hard work. I used to tell my kids the sign of a good day is if you're filthy when it's done. You guys look like you all had good days.
Thanks for leading the group, Hawkeye.
Adding some more pictures.
