Title: Battle Road Report
Post by: jesseb on November 18, 2025, 09:04:18 PM
It's a little late to post it, but I took a trip to Boston back in May and had a glorious time hiking the Freedom Trail and taking a guided history tour of Lexington and Concord.  Here are a coupe of my favorite pictures from the trip.  I have a bunch more, but most are similar to what has already been shared from other's trips.

Plus I was traveling by myself so didn't get quite as many as I'd like.IMG_3106 2.jpegIMG_3073 2.jpegIMG_3092 2.jpeg

I figured out how to get a few more pictures added and inserted as actual pictures to post and not just attachments.  It's been a while since I've used an actual forum.

Trips like this brings the events of April 19, 1775 come to life in a way that reading about it, viewing photos and maps cannot.

Thanks for sharing!

I visited Battle Road NHP about 12 years ago - still one of favorite vacations.  I thought the Hartwell Tavern stop was great.  I still get shivers down my spine when I think about standing on the hill above the North bridge - "I haven't a man who is afraid to go".

The USS Constitution is also definitely worth a visit.  I didn't really understand Humphrey's diagonal riders until I saw them - amazing craftsmanship.
