Title: An Interesting Video on Ammunition Manufacturing in Other Parts of the World.
Post by: DEH on November 03, 2025, 03:40:58 PM
WARNING.  This video may be hard to watch for reloaders.  That being said:  It does cover at least the basics of how ammo is manufactured.
Might have you rethinking buying surplus ammo from certain places.

Dang. Not bad for a small time primitive shop. Gotta give them credit. The video says it's 'high quality'. I wonder how good, or bad, it is? I bet it at least goes bang. And maybe it is decent.

I'd ordered a case of 9mm recently called Black Round which is Swiss Military surplus. Maybe rejects? I figured Swiss - that's gotta be good right? Anyhow it'll have a nice tight group and then flyers about every 5 or 10 rounds. Big time flyers - like 6 to 8 inches off at 10 yards. Kinda crappy. Good enough for practice I guess.

I am sure the Swiss don't pour their powder from an ammo can onto the cases and then scrape it flat with a piece of cardboard. I wouldn't hesitate to buy Swiss.

I wonder what kind of powder that was?  Hopefully not something close to Bullseye.

Did a wee bit of research. Yadgar Ammo out of Pakistan. They were not loading 9mm Luger. Looked more like 7.62x25 Tokarev.

No OSHA rules in that company!

Cringe worthy powder charges.

I'll stick with my own reloads thank you!

But it was a very interesting video.
