A cool and cloudy day Saturday made for a good start to the weekend.
Saturday's firing line was largely filled with 4H Club members, coachs, parents, all traveling from SW Iowa.
A weekend high point for me was being told "that's the best group I've ever shot" after Cadence/NPOA exercise.
Dalton cleared the Hits Count target twice and is closing in on his Rifleman patch.
John requalified rifleman with a 231.
It was great to have Rich join the firing line on Sunday.
Sunday rounded out the weekend with AQTs, ended with sunshine and Three Huzzahs!
Thanks to all who came & thanks to the Madison County Sportsmens Club. This club is a true hidden gem and just minutes from Des Moines.
Thank you to the instructors who pitched in this weekend, Joe, Scott, Ron, Bryce, Mike, Cort, Shannon.
Mark ran a great shoot! It was nice to get some trigger time on Sunday on a very pleasant Iowa fall day. Fellow instructor Shannon shot next to me. We both brought our 10/22 takedowns with scout scope. Ruger should make a mounted rail on the barrel standard. Love that configuration.
Also loved catching up with the southern Iowa instructor cadre. We had fun!
