I would like to congratulate my son Evan Giddings (Recon82) for earning his Redhat this past weekend at the home range in Ramseur. I couldn't be any prouder.
Bulldog, you beat me to it! Evan's instruction was outstanding this weekend, showing that he has studied and practiced a lot to hone his craft. Seeing him educate a large group of his own Trail Life troop was icing on the cake! The North Carolina instructor cadre is growing strong with more additions to come soon...
Here's a shot of Recon82 (wearing his "before" hat on Saturday) describing the workings of a Brown Bess musket with a replica graciously supplied by JustKim from Florida.

I had the pleasure of working with Evan at last year's Boot Camp. He's an outstanding person and will be a excellent Instructor. Huzzah!
I had no doubt you would get it done!
Congratulations, Recon! See you guys in a few weeks

I am happy to see the hard work recognized. I love seeing families volunteer together. It would have been nice to see this in person. Congrats!
Congratulations, Evan!
