After Action Report – Piqua, OH | October 25–26, 2025
Patriots gathered in Piqua on a crisp October weekend to honor our shared heritage and strengthen their marksmanship skills.
Day One (Oct 25):
The event kicked off with prehistory by Shep, followed by safety instruction from Sheepdog180 and Chill. Fifteen shooters took the line for the first Hits Count of the weekend—many posting impressive clears at multiple distances. Instruction continued through prone position, loop sling, natural point of aim, and rifleman's cadence drills.
After a working lunch covering Inches, Minutes, and Clicks, the group moved into the first AQTs of the weekend. Two new Riflemen were forged—Isaac (220) and Rob (227)—while Tyler and Jingo both requalified with 237s. As daylight faded, additional AQTs saw continued success and improvement across the line. Spirits were high as the day closed with the third strike of the match and strong afternoon Redcoat results.
Day Two (Oct 26):
Shooters returned bundled against the morning chill, determined to carry the torch of Liberty forward. Following a safety review by Maddog1776 and AlphaMom, the group posted its first Hits Count target of the day. Instruction focused on refining natural point of aim and cadence, ensuring rifles were dialed in for the AQTs ahead.
Throughout the day, six AQTs were fired with several requalifications and a new Rifleman score from Terry. High scorers included Don (239), Griffin (234), Paloma (232), and Tyler (235). Between AQTs, the group enjoyed DOM stories, awards, and a spirited pumpkin shoot—won by the team of Jami, Isaac, and Caleb!
As the sun set on Sunday, the final Hits Count reflected solid progress and enthusiasm across the board. With Liberty alive and well in every heart, the weekend concluded in great success.
Special thanks to Piqua Fish and Game for hosting, and to every shooter who came out and gave their best. You are the reason we do this. Huzzah!
