Title: Perryville, Mo. Oct 18 1 day event
Post by: Flintlock54 on October 20, 2025, 11:55:25 AM
We only had 1 day together but 15 patriots made the best of it despite a 100% chance of thunderstorms. After the safety briefing ( and bobcat sighting) and a morning redcoat Chuck A and Admiral Kirk did the first 2 strikes with the 3 strike presented at lunch.  We had a good contingent of youth shooters - 7 to be exact and they did a great job. Actually everyone did a great job- some of the parents participated as shooters while a couple parents kept weather watch and acted as photographers. We got through all the drills and an AQT by mid afternoon and everyone wanted to keep shooting. A quick weather check showed we had time so we all packed up everything that needed to stay dry and got in another AQT that yielded a new rifleman with Christina shooting 213.   Some pics and a few photos and we made it out before the storms rolled in.

Marksmanship improved across the board and we had great participation in the history presentations. It's a joy working with patriots such as these!

I'll get some pics up soon as I can

The Perryville range is the most picturesque in MO, a great place to shoot!

There were a couple of times we could smell the rain it was so close, but we stayed dry.
