Post by: NorCal22Gal on October 08, 2025, 03:18:26 PM
Perfect fall weather.
11 determined students.
Perfect weekend.
We had a bunch of very determined students this weekend.  They showed a great deal of improvement over the weekend.
Contrats to Pistoleer™™™s:
Tim 213
Leon (repeat Pistoleer™™™) 216 with a revolver, 212 with a semi-auto
Danbing 217
Jack (repeat Pistoleer™™™) 216, 215
Chris (repeat Pistoleer™™™ & Instructor) 223
Great job to you all.  It was wonderful to see everyone really improving throughout the weekend.
Look forward to seeing you all out again in 2026!!

Thanks to Leon for bringing about half the line with him!!

Thanks to my instructors, without you I couldn't do this.

It was a lot of fun, it was my first time using a red dot and I struggled with the switch from my iron sights and finding that dancing red dot when under a 10 second time crunch.

So many great people, it restores my faith in the species.

Dry practice what you learned.  It seems silly at first, but it works!

Red Dots: Work on steady hold factors and grip such that when you push out to the target your sights are aligned and at eye level.  If your iron sights are aligned and your pistol is up to eye level, the red dot will magically appear.

I learned a lot over the weekend.
The fundamentals work.
Getting NPoA quickly is critical.

I need to practice revolver reloads, and setting them up properly is tantamount.

As a precision firearm, my P85 is exactly what it was designed to be: a reliable brick of a duty pistol.

The proof is in the results.
NRA 900 match before the clinic last month, then today.
