Title: AAR - Sudlersville, MD 1-day 200-yard RKD - October 5, 2025

We held a 200-yard Rimfire Known Distance yesterday in Sudlersville on Maryland's Eastern Shore. We had a great group of shooters for the event and an almost equal number of instructors. Weather was absolutely perfect, though a little warmer than expected.

We started out at the 50-yard line to establish our initial zero and test scope tracking with a few basic drills (vertical squares target). Shooters started experiencing equipment issues right away - RKD is a very challenging event. We got folks on paper and then started the process of zeroing and data collection at 50-200 yards. Practice targets were looking good and excitement was building.

We used lunch for a break and history and then jumped right into our first RKD AQT of the day. To save walking, we started at 200 and worked backwards toward the 50 yard line. We then conducted a second AQT from 50 back to 200.

Unfortunately no one qualified, with scores topping out in the 30s. We wrapped up the day at the 125 yard line with Morgan's Shingle and Jeff nailed it - huzzah!

Thanks to BeSwift and k3 for making this a safe shoot with lots of great coaching. Many thanks to our host range DSA in Sudlersville - we look forward to next year.
