We had a great event this weekend. We had five shooters signed up for the event. Their skill levels ranged from beginner to advanced. The weather was beautiful, Saturday was Partly Sunny with a light wind, and Sunday was mostly cloudy with winds around 5 mph. We started on Saturday, running through all the basic safety and marksmanship information in the morning, and I performed the First Strike for lunch. By the afternoon, we finished with two AQTs, and everyone was happy with their scores.
On Sunday, we gave everyone a warm-up and asked if they preferred to focus on any one position. As usual, it was the seated position that everyone wanted to practice. After allowing some practice and time to warm up and check their rifle's zero, we moved into AQTs. We completed an AQT, and Phoebe told the Second Strike. We did another AQT and the Parker's Revenge target. Each team member walked away with some ammo provided by our NRA grant. Thank you, NRA! And then we wrapped up with a couple more AQTs, during which I had the chance to share Daniel Morgan's story. I also covered the Third Strike, and Phoebe added some Dangerous Old Men stories, as we had the time.
In the end, we had one attendee who received both the Rifleman and the Immortal 400 patches. And we had 2 others who got their Rifleman patch on a requalification. All attendees saw improvements in their scores, and Phoebe and I were happy to coach this group, who were safety-conscious and open-minded to our recommendations. It was a great time.

WOW. That Immortal 400 patch looks like a very nice thing to put on one's jacket and spark discussion. I'll be reading about the Immortal 400 and scheduling a trip to Maryland in an attempt to clear a redcoat and earn this device! Thanks for all you do to promote marksmanship and liberty!
