While Iowa State and University of Iowa football battled each other only three miles away, eight Appleseed shooters heard stories of The Day on Battle Road, worked on their marksmanship skills and took it to the redcoats on the Hits Count target.
A wonderfully pleasant mix of returning shooters and new, we saw huge improvements on Saturday as we worked basics, only to hone them to a finer edge on Sunday.
We had two requalify as Rifleman and one of the two shot a 241 for his first ever distinguished score.
Hits Counts finished out with almost 40% qualifying as 400yd shooters and the same on the shingle. As a group 87% shot 200 or above.
Our IITs from the area were well represented and did a fine job. Thank you Eraser, Rooster77c4, CADGUY.
Applecore volunteer Potato_Hole was a great help.
It's always great to work with AMES and Rhysling.
Great weather, Great people, Great times, Thank you everyone and hope to see you Appleseeding in the future
Remember: Natural Point of Aim is no coincidence it's co-in-cy-dence.

If I remember correctly, wasn't there another requalification?
Maybe someone requalified as a Shoot Boss?
Sound right?
Congrats, Mark! :partytime:
