"Of course I'm happy, I'm an American on a rifle range"
There's nothing quite like waiting on the line, rifle ready and magazine in hand, waiting for the magic word to send those full powered rounds down range. This weekend contained plenty of that, in one of the most beautiful ranges New England has to offer.
The range is set up with 1-300 yards on one range and 400 on another, leading to an unusual logistical setup for a KD event, and the trip out to paste targets at 400 is quite the bushwhack, but the Northeastern Rifleman is a hardy creature, and we persist through many challenges, and despite all that the blazing sun could do.

4 KD bars were won this weekend, two new and two requalified, even through the sun, heat, and on Sunday extremely difficult terrain. What's more, when everything is so well organized that the shoot boss gets to shoot some AQTs, that's a fantastic event. A huge huzzah to all who make this possible, and particular cheers to Maximum Ordinate and Google for making the trip up and helping us level up our KD instruction, and to BrianMac for coming out to help work the line and shooting the photos. That was a fantastic event. Probably the most fun I've had shooting ever. I also think an incredible amount of learning happened.
