We gathered in Skowhegan, where a pre-treason Benedict Arnold had passed thru on his way to Quebec in 1775. Those ardent patriots travelled during one of the worst winters on record thru Maine for an attack on New Year's Eve. There are few examples of that kind of perseverance. They may have walked right over the Skowhegan Sportsman's Club, which lies along the river.
Our hard working group may have felt that spirit. Out of 14 shooters, we had seven Riflemen. Only one was a repeat qualifier. Thunderstorms were forecast, but we only received light rain that didn't bother anyone. You can't ask for a better day.
