What a fantastic day on the line! Thanks to everyone who joined us for the Project Appleseed rifle marksmanship clinic. From start to finish, we saw great attitudes, solid progress, and a ton of patriotic spirit.
Everyone showed up ready to learn—and it showed! A big shoutout to Christopher S. earning his Distinguished Rifleman badge with a score of 240 — you earned it! Then later, Christopher not only cleared his Hits Count target, but he did it using the seated position. Kevin O. was determined to give it his all up to the last shot. Silence overtook the line as he took aim at Morgan's shingle. After the smoke cleared, we saw that he too proved himself an excellent Marksman clearing the target and earning the coveted Maryland Immortal 400 patch for his efforts.
Several folks are this close—just a few more shots away. Keep practicing. You've got this!
We shared the stories of April 19, 1775 and the brave citizens who stood up for liberty when it mattered most. It was inspiring to see how seriously you all took the idea of being not just marksmen—but Riflemen in spirit.
What's Next?
If you loved the experience—and we know many of you did—come back! Bring a friend. Consider a two-day event to really push for that patch. Or consider stepping up as a volunteer. You don't need to be an expert, just willing to learn and pass it on.
Thanks again to all who made the day a success — our host Anne Arundel Fish and Game, shooters, volunteers, and the spirit of liberty that drives us all. Until next time — keep your sights aligned and your powder dry.
Great job, Kevin O and Sophie!
