It was a great weekend for Liberty at FCWA. I would like to thank the staff for allowing us to use their facility. We arrived early and so did the shooters. We began the day with introductions, safety, and a great First Strike from Roswell. 8 shooters took to the line ready to engage some Hits Count targets. After scoring we saw there was some work to be done. We quickly got into instruction covering Eye dominance, Sling use, The Six Steps, NPOA, Prone, and Dry Fire. Finally, it was time to take on some square's targets, and the shooters put all that instruction to good use. We decided to take and early lunch due to the heat. At lunch the shooters heard The Second Strike. After lunch the shooters took out some more squares targets before learning about Talking Targets. The instruction was well received, and we quickly got on to IMC. The shooters were taught Rifleman's cadence, and we carded their sights. Another break from the heat was used for the Third Strike as Leadslinger66 took the Regulars back to Boston. Magazine changes and the stopwatch were introduced before we called it a day a little early.

Sunday was calling for rain and more heat, but the shooters showed up bright and early again. We reviewed all the instruction from the previous day and once again had a safety brief. With rifle brought to the line the shooters proved they were listening with great results on the Hits Count target. It was time for something new, and we hung the AQT. The shooters were given the opportunity to check their sights on the sighter square. We then taught and practiced Transition to prone. With Stage 3 shot we got right into Teaching Seated/Kneeling and the Transition. We practiced this and went right into Stage 2. Standing was taught and Stage 1 was in the books. The shooters took on Stage 4 and then a break as the heat was coming in fast. At lunch the shooters got a little taste of Known Distance shooting. After lunch we scrambled to clear the line and get canopies down as a storm rolled in. After a short lightning delay, we got back to work with a little cooler temps and cloud cover. After a couple AQT's and some drills the heat once again began taking its toll. We shot another Hits count target and cleaned up the range. A shout out to Stephen as he scored a 214, and also to Peyton who shot a 194 and a 208.

I would like to thank all the shooters and Instructors for coming out. I look forward to seeing you all on the line again soon. Remember to dry fire and I know all of you will soon become Riflemen.
