Twenty-three intrepid patriots gathered at the beautiful Home Range of Project Appleseed in Ramseur, NC. They braved heat, humidity, and one booming thunderstorm to revel in our shared American heritage. And they shot their rifles pretty well, too!
Whole families were in attendance camping overnight on-site and enjoying some good wholesome time together. One shooter even turned thirteen years old on Sunday! We celebrated his special day with thirteen shots on a hits count target that afternoon.
All the shooters offered their attention and engagement during instruction and history from the very beginning of the event. In fact, Ben shared excellent Revolutionary War history that took place in the local area. Other participants had lots of helpful marksmanship questions and tips along the way.
Despite the heat and a storm that sent us ducking for indoor cover on Saturday afternoon, spirits remained high throughout. Instructors and shooters alike shared smiles and laughter while staying on task with the serious business of awakening our American spirit. Devbo delivered an energetic Second Strike. Bulldog showed us with his Third Strike that even history stories that are 250 years old can tug at our heartstrings from across the centuries.
As for the shooting: It was solid. Highlights include three qualifying rifleman AQT scores and 9 total cleared hits-count targets from the group! Josh was single-handedly responsible for a few of those himself. He rocked an impressive 237 score on his first AQT of the weekend! Several instructors also noted that all the participants maintained excellent safety standards throughout the weekend.
We hope that you will all find your way back to the Ramseur Home Range again soon, or anywhere else liberty and camaraderie are ringing out!
Huzzah from Ramseur!

Looks like an awesome event!
What a great event - even the frogs wanted to join in. It was so nice to be at a shoot at the home range finally. The families and friends spending the weekend together always makes any clinic extra special. Happy birthday, Caleb! Thanks for choosing to celebrate in Ramseur. The growing NC crew is really incredible, too.
Camping at Ramseur was a great experience - the 97% humidity wasn't awesome, but waking up and seeing the deer on the 500 yard range and hearing NOTHING is really nice. Thanks for allowing it.
