Wind: 3. Canopies: 0 Pistoleer™™™s: 1 Had fun and learned: All
A group of Patriots unafraid of a little impending rain gathered on a new-to-Appleseed range in Ardmore, AL on 7 June for history and marksmanship! Many thanks to owner Marlane and helpers Mark and Rachel; this was an extremely easy Appleseed as they had all the work done before the instructor cadre arrived!
We knew the rain was coming in later that afternoon so got started very quickly. After BooneyStomper covered the safety instruction very well and Mixed Metaphor explained line commands, our experienced shooters showed excellent marksmanship on the Hits Count Target, with one shooter clearing it completely! Shooters, please help the SB out by identifying the shooter; I missed making that note.
Booney, Mixed Metaphor, GTEngineer, and one of our relays under two of the three unlucky canopies:

We watched the clouds roll in as we completed all the instruction with practice drills before a late lunch and Booney's Second Strike. Mark grilled hot-dogs for everyone, and then we came back for out first and only PQT of the day. The shooters did very well working in relays! Unfortunately, the rain began falling as we finished the PQT and all took shelter in Marlane's very convenient barn!

Don't worry that Josh missed the water from the North Bridge with a 211 score; we were all pretty wet by then.
We watched from the dry barn as the wind destroyed three canopies while we shared the Onion of Self Defense and the Third Strike. All of the shooters appreciated our history and asked many excellent questions. Host Marlane invited Project Appleseed to come back, and we look forward to seeing all the shooters again!
Shooters, thanks for all your help in policing canopy fragments and clearing the range. Please add additional pictures you would like to share; the SB was too focused on the impending rain!
Excellent shoot! Great shooters! Many thanks to Marlene for the use of her range.
