Title: SACRAMENTO, CA MAY 31-JUNE 1, 2025 RIMFIRE KD 200 YD

May 30-June 1 200yd RKD Sacramento Valley Shooting Center
Summer temps made for a toasty event, but 5 students came out and gave it their all.
Rimfire KD's are fun events.  It's great to see students putting their .22's to the 200 yd test.  Saturday was spent getting sighted in at the various distances and then checking the come up's.
Telling the advanced history stories gives everyone a glimpse of other pcs of the Revolutionary War and the battles that happened.
The afternoon heat hit just over 100 degrees.  Thank heavens for ez-ups!!
Sunday started with an unknown distance instruction, followed by the Morgan's Rifleman challenge.  Victor was up to the challenge!
Bob was the only RKD Rifleman with a 40!  Yes, we dumped cold water over his head!  Dan & Vic were very close!
Thanks to the instructors and students for helping with set up and clean up.

What a great weekend! Yes, there was some amount of heat radiating from the huge ball of glowing gas, but Sunday was actually pretty nice with the breeze. Thanks to EagleScouter and NorCal22Gal for making the drive down to the range. The history was all new to me; so very interesting. Nice feeling to have the 22 all tuned in now at any distance out to 200 yards. Shooting the squares is definitely the way to go. Those targets looked huge after sighting in on the squares.
