We had 3 shooters and 5 Instructors join us at Mountain Top Gun Range for a Rimfire KD! Many thanks to our wonderful hosts at Mountain Top - they have supported us for years!
We reviewed IMC and talked about trajectory for rimfire ammunition. XXXX got us off to a great start with a hit on Morgan's Shingle at 125yds! As we progressed through sighters and stages, the shooters were able to gather data and make sight adjustments effectively. At the close of business on Saturday we had Tennessee Hangfire with scores of 43 and 40; Zack with scores of 42 and 45; and DEH scored 40.
Sunday morning was range estimation and the students got an earful about a skill that is rarely practiced.
Sunday saw Zach continue to excel with a hit on Morgan's Shingle and 2 more qualifying scores of 42 and 45! This was his second event and it he asked for an Orange Hat O0 (more to follow on that in another thread).
It was much warmer on Sunday that was forecast and we all pretty much ran out of gas and decided to wrap it up early. Overall, a successful event with great cadre and appreciative shooters.
Imgur is not working for me so I had to attach photos. :wb:
Awesome! Looks like a great event! O0
What a great weekend! I really enjoyed being on the range with everyone. Hope to see you all again soon!
It was a great time to be at Mountain Top range. We even got treated to a weekend without the infamous "Weather Top" wind and rain!
It was great to meet and work with each of the students. Now that you have the knowledge, practice the skills at home and become good with them.
Awesome weekend really enjoyed hanging out.
