Fourteen shooters gathered at the Henry County Gun Club for 2 days of history and marksmanship. Ten of these shooters were first time Appleseeders. We were blessed with two days of beautiful weather. The shooters responded with exceptionally good groups. Stage 3 and Stage 4 of an AQT were engaged late Saturday. Sunday, after some history and preliminary work, the AQT was completed with Stages 1 and 2. Zachary, at his very first Appleseed, and on this first AQT, became a Rifleman with a score of 218. And William, a previous Rifleman, scored a 226 on this AQT and later improved it to a 236. After further instruction, more AQTs and some remedial drills, another previous Rifleman, Jingkun, scored a 213. These three Riflemen were taken to a 100 yard range where they obtained good groups and employed IMC successfully. Then, on the last AQT of the day, Jeff became a Rifleman with a score of 225. Congratulations to these Riflemen, and to all the shooters who performed so well. It was such a pleasure to work with all of them.
