Title: Tippmann Speed Loader Review
Post by: Coemgenus on May 16, 2025, 11:09:26 AM
First time poster here!
I attended my second Appleseed two weeks ago in Marriottsville, MD. In preparation for the event I bought a Tippmann M4-22 (which is awesome, btw). Tippmann was running a rebate at the time where they offered either $60 in credit to their store or a free speed loader (which sells for $99.95 at time of writing).
The speed loader is great! My friend and I used it all weekend, and then my wife used it all the next weekend at a Ladyseed. Loading rounds into the Tippmann mags by hand is a bit awkward and often requires removing the dust cover to manipulate the follower by hand, but the loader makes it effortless. It's very easy to count your rounds as you load them (one turn of the handle=one round in the mag), plus it keeps your fingers clean. No one had any jams or other loading issues, and it seems pretty sturdily built.
I'd especially recommend it for those with weak fingers (like my wife). The biggest down side is that, like the Tippmann mags, it's expensive. Definitely worth $60, but I don't know about $100.

Thank you for the feedback sir, I have that rifle & love it.  I saw the loader but hadn't had any hands-on experience yet  O0

Old topic, new reply. I have an M4, great rifle as mentioned, and I have the loader. Talk about fun! I love loading mags with it. I bought more mags just to have more to load. I may buy a few more mags yet. It's expensive, not sure I'd go $100 for it, but I got it for $70 from Resilient Arms. It's definitely worth that since it's good forever. I can't imagine trying to load those mags by hand. One of the best purchases I've made. My chrono arrives tomorrow and I'll have it AND my loader for my next outing. Double the fun! Yeah, fine, I'm a big kid and I like my toys. :)
