We had a smaller group of shooters this event, but it was still a very good one. All students were eager to learn and took instruction very well. Although we did not have anyone qualify Rifleman this event, there was great improvement with all shooters! The biggest jump between 1st and last AQT was a 75 point increase!!It is my firm belief if these student practice what was taught and stay persistent (As all Riflemen should) they will earn the coveted Rifleman patch! I am also pleased to announce that I have earned my Green Hat! It was a big honor to have ItsanSKS present me with it. He has taught me everything I know about the program, how to teach, and how to ger more people involved. He is truly someone I look up to. Thank you!!
Some pictures of the event will be posted shortly

CONGRATS on earning your Green Hat and thank you for stepping up!! Looks like you had a great event!
Congratulations on your Green Hat Nick! There's a lot of work that goes into that for sure. But you know what THEY say: The reward for hard work is more hard work! :)
Looks like the shoot at Birchwood was a good one. I always liked that range in May: the snow is gone, it isn't too chilly and the mosquitoes haven't kicked in. Was a member there for at least ten years.
I'll be back up in Alaska in August, but it'll be after your KD. My sons and I have a backpacking trip scheduled for the First week in August. By the 20th I'll be in Anchorage for another work assignment at the radar sites. Hopefully we can at least get together for dinner.
In Liberty,
