Good People:
Myakka City FL was a smashing success. Three of the Parramore Gang showed up as new IIT's and helped pull off a great Appleseed. The fourth member of the Parramore Gang, Madam Yotnottin, was diverted to Hernando the help fill some gaps in the staffing at that fine range. The other three instructors, drawing on my last surviving neuron of memory, Mike, Mark, & Don, the Fort Myers Trio, provided the experience and maturity the Parramore Gang needed to step directly from Appleseed attendees to new Orange hats and not look outlandishly foolish in the process. Thanks guys.
At Myakka we had 6 instructors for 22 shooters. This high ratio resulted in 7 new riflemen by Sunday afternoon. An exceptionally fine bunch of Appleseeders that really paid attention to instruction, and applied their new knowledge directly to their AQT's.
A moment of levity was provided Saturday morning when the deck gang off of a tramp steamer docked in Tampa left the range deeply embarrassed when they realized they were out cussed by a young lady(?) who had some hot .308 brass roll down her bare back and settle in the cleft of her buttocks. However unsettled she was by the shooter next to her, this young lady, who had never before held a rifle, shot a 90 on the AQT! Another Appleseed under her now well covered belt and she could have her little green badge. A testament to the level of instruction at The Appleseed project.
