I attended the National Rifle Association's Law Seminar this past weekend at the 2025 NRAAM in Atlanta. I was very happy to see on the course listing a presentation called "The Right to Arms in America before the American Revolution" by Professor David B. Kopel, Esq.
The material presented was very enlightening and gives additional context to the attitude toward the right (and often obligation) under the 13 colonial governments to own and bear firearms.
Mr. Kopel is well-acquainted with Project Appleseed. I was wearing my Project Appleseed polo shirt and as I approached him after his presentation, he said, "Project Appleseed! What a great program!"
I formally asked Prof. Kopel for permission to share the printed material that was provided on his presentation and he immediately agreed, but said he was going to fix a couple typos before I passed along. Today he forwarded it to me and I make it available here.
