What a great event!
We had a fantastic group of shooters, some of them new to Appleseed. Their ages ranged from 12 to 73. The weather was beautiful on Saturday and Sunday. The range facility was first rate and the best place to work an event. Instructors could not have been better.
After shooting the Hits Count target, we started on the basics. The group was very attentive. Even our most inexperienced shooters, who couldn't hit many shots on the Red Coat target in the morning improved greatly on the Squares targets. Shooters worked so hard that we got 1 AQT done by the end of the day.
On Sunday we moved quickly through the review materials so we could get on the line as fast as possible. Since the group was so cooperative, we moved smoothly through our review and got right to shooting. Congratulations to everyone for working so hard. We managed 8 more AQTs by the end of Sunday. We then performed the Memorial Volley. Everyone seemed very moved.
We had 3 new Rifleman and 2 others Re-qualified. Congratulations to new riflemen, Emma and Anna with high scores of 221, Kevin who shot a 217 and Katie and Mike who re-qualified with a 235 and 225 respectively. Several of the other shooters were very close and will probably make score on their next Appleseed.
The weekend went well and everyone was very dedicated. All shooters should feel good about the improvements that they made. A big thank you to the best crew of instructors in Appleseed. Everyone did a wonderful job and the teamwork was amazing. Also, thank you and congratulations to Not Sure who earned his Red Hat this weekend. Check out some pictures at the following link.

Congratulations Not Sure! Sounds like another winner from the South FL Cadre!
Congratulations NotSure. They really shredded your old Orange Hat. Glad to see so many fancy Rifleman patches earned--especially by young ladies. Huzzah!
