Greetings!
It's been a few years since I've been on here, and behind a rifle for that matter. Eyesight's a funny thing. The joy of paper-punching drifts away when any amount of technique refinement can't compensate for unknown sight deterioration.
I got two cataract surgeries done last year and I'm still learning my new Mk2 eyeballs... but I got called in to sub on a 4-man rifle team for the Ben Avery Washington's Birthday Match. The team captain is a long time friend to Arizona's early days with Appleseed, a fellow named Marc Martinez and a seasoned Air National Guard champion shooter.
So it's short notice, the match is Sunday February 23rd and shooters must arrive before 7:30AM. Course of Fire is a modified 50 shot course, all fired at 200 yards. 10rds slow fire standing, 10rds rapid fire seated, 10rds rapid fire prone, and 20rds slow fire prone.
If you'd like to come out and shoot with me and Marc, give me a call or text at 480-266-8410. I'd love to meet the current folks running AZ Appleseed.
Great to hear from you!
It is short notice for me but I'll pass it along. Sounds awesome!!!
Would love to have you stop by one of our upcoming events at Ben Avery as well.
