The first Appleseed Pistol Clinic (APC) of 2025 is in the record book! What a great time it was. Ten brave souls braved the bitter Florida Winter January 4-5 at the Central Florida Rifle & Pistol Club in Orlando, Florida to test and improve their pistol skills. Improve they did. After the initial history and safety briefing the Hits Count Target showed one student was fully qualified. David S. cleared the target!
The instruction continued and the scores rose.
By the end of the day Saturday three had qualified. Bob 210, Ethan 219, and David 242 (with a revolver!) David S. was presented the Distinguished Pistol Shooter tab to accompany his Pistoleerâ„¢ patch. One instructor, KOF, shot 226 with a centerfire pistol to complete his qualification as a Pistol Instructor.
The most improved title goes to Lois. She started Saturday with a 66 and finished Sunday with a 208. Marci also distinguished herself by improving from an initial 60 to an impressive 185! HUZZAH! Eric, David M. and JP delivered Marksman level scores while Alex, Ed, Lois, and Marci achieved the Sharpshooter distinction.
Credits: Many thanks to the students for a safe and fun event. Thanks to the instructor team who made the presentations interesting and effective. Appreciation for the Central Florida Rifle & Pistol Club for allowing us to use their fine facilities. KOF and Sarea_51 for sharing their photos and videos.

After hearing the Sam and Sam story the students got a demonstration of loading and shooting the Colt Walker 1847 revolver. The trigger is light and the recoil is manageable because of its weight. It's a task to load but a joy to fire. Videos:

In Liberty!
Dennis
It was a great weekend! Glad to see everyone enjoying themselves and having a safe shoot. Thanks Dennis for running such a fluid event. It is always a pleasure working with such high caliber instructors and learning from the best. I was excited to score 226 with my Sig 226 and am looking forward to the next event.
